My Uncle Mike had one of these and let me borrow it as long as I returned it cleaned up and gassed up. Uncle Mike’s was brown, not red, but the red here is better looking. It was not reliable, but the good news is that it was light enough to push and then pop the clutch to start it. It was, however, fun to drive and fun to be seen in.

It’s a Triumph TR7, of course, for you people who are not old. The Triumph was the genesis of the old saying that if it took four bolts to hold something together on a car the Germans used five, the Americans used four, and the Brits used three. Good times…
