And, if you have ever used one for its original purpose, you are really old! For a while, the receptacle for these found new life as a source for 12V power for cell phones, radar detectors, CD players (!!), CB radios (!!!!!), and other electronic gear. But, over time, it turned out to be easier to install, the less-prone-to-having-someone-stick-a-finger-in-them, USB charging ports.
