Two months without twitter

I left twitter and deleted the app on January 10 after more than 12 years of using it multiple times a day. I cannot imagine buying a ream of paper that allows me to print only information that the manufacturer has pre-approved, so I found I could not imagine being a part of a platform that made prior determinations of what could or could not be written. (With obvious exceptions for the “yelling fire in a crowded theater” situation, of course.)

I thought I would miss twitter, but it has been two months, and I have not. It turns out that any news (meaning factual information) is available elsewhere, and that if I want opinions, I can find them any number of other places.

If you are not paying for a product, you ARE the product, and so I took myself off the market. I have not missed twitter. I wonder if they notice I am gone?
