GoGoInflight

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

Have I raved enough about GoGoInflight WiFi?  Maybe not.  There is typically a free offer out there to test drive (or test fly it, I guess), and I think I may be hooked.  The price is typically $9.95 for the length of flights (1000 mile-ish) I am on, and if you need to get work done, it is worth it.  I remember paying $9.95 a shot for T-Mobile access just a few years ago when traveling, and being able to do it from a plane is a long way from the $5/minute AirPhone option of the late 1990s.

If you haven’t tried GoGo, give this code a shot:  2287707993yvj.  You’ll need to click “purchase” or something and then you punch in the code and it makes it a $0 charge.  You will need to register if you have not.  In the interest of full-disclosure, if you do use this code, I may get a freebee use myself, but even if I don’t, I think you’ll like the connectedness, even once.

Of course, I am posting this from a flight from DFW to ORD!

UPDATE:  You can see if your flight is WiFi enabled by going here within 24 hours of your flight.

World Healthcare Innovation & Technology Congress (WHIT)

I got to hear former president Clinton (Bill, that is) speak at the World Healthcare Innovation & Technology Congress yesterday.  Whether you agree with him or not, he is a really good speaker.  I am not sure he ever addressed his topic, “Embracing our Common Humanity” <insert your own joke here>, nor do I think he talked about Innovation or Technology, but he is a good speaker.  His remarks were all “off the record” and no press representatives were allowed in the room.  He apparently headed off to Capitol Hill to have lunch with democratic senators afterward.

Formerly the Mighty Mouse,

Confusingly similar?

Confusingly similar?

but since that is someone else’s trademarked name, now the Magic Mouse, Apple’s new mouse is pretty cool!  If you haven’t heard about it, it is wireless and looks like this:

If you have the means, and if you could use an extra USB port if you have been using one for an external mouse, highly recommended.
